This study investigates the integration of committee members' perspectives into performance-based maintenance planning, focusing on service quality and safety and health aspects in Masjid Kariah across 10 districts in Kelantan, Malaysia. Through a structured questionnaire survey involving 354 committee members from 59 mosques, the research examines reported practices and assessments of three maintenance strategies. Planned Corrective Maintenance (PCM) accounted for 66.1% of recorded strategy categories. Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) received the highest mean ratings across all nine indicators. Exploratory Friedman comparisons of mosque-level mean ratings identified overall differences among strategy ratings for every indicator (Holm-adjusted permutation p < 0.001; Kendall’s W = 0.903–1.000). An additional mosque-level chi-square test found no statistically significant association between maintenance frequency and recorded strategy category (p = 0.765). The findings highlight committee members’ priorities for service delivery, equipment inspections and cleanliness. These assessments represent management perceptions and do not establish the operational effectiveness of individual maintenance strategies.
