Outdoor recreation has gained popularity worldwide, offering opportunities for people to connect with nature and enhance their overall well-being. Researchers and policymakers have increasingly focused on understanding the factors that influence the use and benefits of outdoor recreational activities. This paper seeks to identify the key qualities of outdoor recreation areas that motivate communities to engage in such activities. The findings indicate that safety is the most crucial factor for most respondents when choosing a recreation area. In addition to safety, the availability of comprehensive sports facilities and visually appealing landscapes are also highly valued. These results underscore the importance of maintaining high-quality recreation areas to ensure that users can enjoy outdoor activities safely and comfortably, ultimately achieving a satisfying experience.
