Abstract

Urbanization causes people to experience mental health issues, but urban parks can help alleviate stress levels. Parks should have diverse physical attributes and greenery to support health, aesthetics, and ecology. Thus, evaluating user satisfaction levels is crucial to ensure that urban parks’ physical attributes meet expectations and needs. A study was conducted to evaluate user satisfaction levels towards the performance and importance of Taman Aman Park's physical attributes. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected from 86 respondents obtained through the accidental sampling method. The variables used in this study cover aspects of accessibility, facilities, amenities, safety, and natural features. The collected data is analysed through Importance-performance analysis (IPA) to evaluate the level of importance and performance of 19 park physical attributes. The study result indicates that most respondents interpret the park's physical attributes in Taman Aman Park as being at a “fair” level. Subsequently, the IPA quadrant results are used to determine the priority of improving the park’s physical attributes. The IPA analysis revealed that 9 park physical attributes are considered important and perform well, while 4 attributes are deemed important but have low performance and require improvement.
